Thailand May 2018 Specialist Course of Instruction

The Thailand May 2018 course comprised of intense phase 1 candidate preparation training and phase 3 specialist training and proponent’s instruction in tactics and skills development.

Achieving a full confirmed private course early and closing off applications allowed for the focus on the specific course objective achievement requirements.

The phase 1 basic candidate preparation training was intense and included thorough immediate critiquing.

The outcomes were excellent and upcoming candidate testing has been confirmed.

Phase 3 proponents training focused on extensive skill sets individual skills instruction and practice to ensure the trained module was extensively covered.

Phase 3 proponents and instructors also performed instructor and assistant instructor duties and provided high level enemy party.

A considerable amount of military Amphib CQC/MSD was conducted along with skills training and practice in the sea.

The Todd Group Master- Chief instructor Tank Todd and Dr Steffan Eriksson, the Todd Group head of CQC medical aspects introduced attending phase 3 specialist proponents, Sean Lancaster and Andrew Weir to the practices of developing close combat skills that involve high level medical considerations to achieve the primary outcomes with sudden aggressive silent capability.

The training instructing experience combined with learning of the military combative processes for developing proving and confirming skills is a most beneficial experience for responsible committed instructors.

The Todd Group is conducting more and more members only and specialist proponents and instructors invitation only courses of instruction due to the high numbers of advanced and specialist exponent proponents and instructors.

This enables such courses to provide extensive training regimes made up of committed individuals that have proven themselves long-term under training and have passed intensive testing phases.

This maximises available training time and reduces critiquing requirements by considerable.

Undertaking current European military CQC/MSD training requires individual exponent’s to be highly responsible, of the highest integrity, commitment and inner resolve and be able to undertake orders and instructions completing the tasks with attention to detail.

Internal recruiting for courses ensures the best outcomes when it is high level skills training being delivered.

Recruiting new exponent’s with all the vetting checking and administration involved is time-consuming and the outcomes of individuals passing testing phases and making up through the ranks to instructor status is minimal.

Conducting wide ranging intensive training including under varied conditions and in different terrain make’s the courses challenging and advantageous in primary methods of exponents capabilities enhancement.

We have introduced new training regimes that require high level integrity, responsibility, reliability and commitment from new entry-level applicants to reduce the negative outcomes of the majority not meeting the course joining requirements, not fulfilling application orders and instructions or failing to achieve outcomes on course.

The Todd Group set and maintain the highest military combative standards and this applies equally to our serious civilian exponent’s and proponents.

The old adage from the rest come the best is very true and with the reality of the best being only a fraction of 1% of all entry-level exponents capable of achieving rank and status means conducting entry level intakes and courses for non-members is time consuming and by the nature of the trade craft only proves that smallest fraction of 1%.

This is how it has always been and should be to set and maintain the highest standards.

The current active and fully committed to CQC/MSD self-improvement seeking instructors and proponents that relish CQC challenges are highly respected and this is what is most important to the Todd Group.

Conducting intensive and wide ranging training and development courses in current European military armed and unarmed combat and military self-defence such as the recent Thailand Navy Base course sets the standards and set us apart from non-military CQC/MSD training conducted by instructors that have not military instructor qualified and are not conducting military CQC courses of instruction.

The mil CQC/MSD tradecraft methods of instruction provide increased intensity in sudden aggressive shock action with increases in exponent competency.

The Todd Group was instructing military unarmed combat and military self-defence before most of the modern day self-defence styles were established and has a lineage of no other such training provider. it is our 91 year history and commitment to the military trade craft of European military CQC/MSD that attracts identifies and up skills committed responsible individuals.

Character adjustment bastardisation drilling and the realities of training the military way in military unarmed combat and military self-defence are all important in the development of exponents and the future proofing of the Todd Group.

Conducting small Group specialist courses of instruction like the recent Thailand course is the best way to achieve objectives maintaining the highest CQC trade craft standards.

Such courses of instruction enable not only small group training, but also individual exponent instruction and skills critiquing.

With another positive outcome course of instruction completed we move onto the next exported course of instruction in Germany on this courses circuit before returning to New Zealand to conduct the Annual Auckland Phase 1 basic and Phase 2 advanced courses of instruction.
