This short specialist course for protecting yourself and the protection of others will be conducted on Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16. It is for Todd Group HQ and Country members that are current and active members only. Course fee $200.00 includes meals. Attendees need to arrive on either Friday September 14th or early morning Saturday September 15. The course will start at 10am on Saturday September 15 and end at 3pm on Sunday September 16. Attendees need to leave the camp after 3pm on Sunday September 16. Those flying into and leaving from Dunedin Airport will be picked up and dropped off. This course is not a Specialist Close personal Protection course that requires training and training exercises in extensive PSD trade craft subjects and as such is of considerably longer duration. The Self-Minder course is for individuals wanting body guard training in preventative and counter actions on tactics and skills to keep themselves and those under their protection as safe as possible. The course will in include some advance planning and preparation to identify and reduce risks. Anti encounter tactics training will be included in the program as well as considerable training in actions on close protection specific armed and unarmed threat neutralisation. This will include urban actions on threat specific protective threat neutralisation. Body guarding individuals under threat can be high risk and requires considerably more than just fight skills to keep the protector and protectee safe. Planning preparation and practice of the most current and proven tactics and skills is essential. Arming yourself with such knowledge to protect your family friends staff is essential if you do not have the specialist protective services of a specialist close protection detail. For travel business or protecting your loved ones at home or when out and about is becoming more and more essential everyday. This is a small group specialist short course and positions are limited and based on availability.
