Maintaining Todd Group exponent/proponent/instructor membership status

Todd Group exponents and instructors must conduct themselves under a responsible citizen code of conduct at all times.

Members must accept that military CQB/CQC/MSD training as a civilian is a privilege and not a given right that is only as secure as the individuals responsibility to conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, self-respect and with respect towards others.

The old CQC adage that you only as secure as your first mistake which if serious will be your last mistake and involvement is very true.

Individuals that do not conduct themselves with high integrity, responsibility and with respect for themselves the chain of command fellow exponents and instructors as well as the general public, when found out will be binned.

Only a fraction of 1% have what it takes to achieve phase 3 specialist rank and even less have the ability to maintain their membership status long-term as it requires a fitting attitude demeanour selflessness commitment and the ability to abide by their code of conduct in and outside training.

Having stringent code of conduct contracts and membership rules and regulations is vital in regards to the nature of the training being disparate to non-military self-defence and fighting arts training.

I can remember on my early military CQC/MUC courses being informed by my superiors of how everyone is only as good as their first mistake and that would be their last involvement, and this is something that I consider very important and reiterate to the Todd Group rank and file.

Individuals with serious character and attitude faults like dogs that cannot be trusted are likely to continue to conduct themselves in an unacceptable manner in the future and as such must be binned.

This applies to all ranks and once a member’s membership has been revoked, it is permanent as per their contracts and agreements they lose all rights and are not permitted to instruct any of the Todd Group’s skills/ training programs as they are Todd Group IP.

Any breaches or infringements will be dealt with by means of civil litigation.

The Todd Group professional reputation as leaders in the field of European military armed and unarmed combat and military self-defence is something we hold in the highest regard and will protect with every means at their disposal.

Membership privileges are considerable and while the masses are on the outside, the smallest majority are on the inside of the Todd Group a 91-year-old specialist military armed and unarmed combat training provider to the military and to responsible citizen’s that can conduct themselves in accordance with our required code of conduct.

All members must be treated with respect and no member will be permitted to treat any other member in an unfitting manner. Bullying taking advantage of or failing to deliver on agreements simply will not be tolerated and regardless of rank the offender will find themselves persona non grata.

Any specialist training organisation is only as good as their weakest links and these weakest links must be removed as such behaviour can be damaging or even infectious.

Individuals that do not understand the importance of conducting themselves outside of training responsibly will be found out and binned.

Those that cannot drink alcohol responsibly and that under the influence of alcohol have diminished inhibitions are high risk and when found out must have their membership revoked as they are a risk to themselves and to the good name and integrity of the Todd Group.

Individuals that are identified as being arrogant and thinking themselves above and better than others treating their peers and understudies in a disrespectful manner have no place in the Todd Group.

We have a combative code of conduct CD that all members should get listen to and learn from.

Todd Group membership requires exponent’s proponents and instructors to be committed to remaining current and supporting our training initiatives.

In the words of Harry Baldock CQC/MUC/MSD is a task to be continued not a project to be completed.

To remain willing able and ready and best prepared to employ or instruct military self-defence and military armed and unarmed combat tactics and skills members must be fully committed to self-improvement and this requires regular continuation training.

Individuals that convince themselves they are current and active but are not undergoing ongoing training and evaluation are only fooling themselves and by ongoing training I mean being instructed officially by qualified instructors on official training courses/sessions.

Slow is fast less is more and continued participation is essential to remain current and active and be best prepared.

The Todd Group is a unique training organisation with the longest history of any other private training provider of European military armed and unarmed combat and military self-defence and we have a responsibility to ensure only the most responsible individuals of the highest integrity are active in our training organisation.

We do not want to recruit the masses, we do not train children or anyone that does not meet stringent joining requirements out of a responsibility to our trade craft and to society.

We will always support responsible members progression giving them every assistance and every support, but will bin any member that does not conform and abide by our responsible members code of conduct rules and regulations.

Todd Group provides special opportunities for our rank-and-file including partaking in combined civilian/military courses of instruction and working on our training team training the military in CQC/MSD.

We also provide training and instructing opportunities with our contract and civilian general public application courses internationally.

These privileges require exemplary behaviour high integrity and responsibility.

Responsible committed realists do not want to train with or be trained by individuals that are not the epitome of military combative professionalism as their safety and capability depends on their superiors being off the highest calibre.

Likewise, exponents do not want to train with exponents that are not responsible or CQC/MSD safe.

While joining the Todd Group requires the individual applicant to meet the joining requirements maintaining membership requires considerably more and higher levels of conducting oneself with professionalism, integrity and responsibility and of course inner resolve and commitment to achieving competency in the trade crafts of CQC/MSD.
