The Todd Group, being the HQ source of the tactics and skills training provision with the longest history in our field of private specialist European military close combat and military self-defence training provision, are not only armed and unarmed combat and mil self-defence specialists but also have in-house wide ranging related trade-craft expertise.

This includes design and manufacture of training equipment and training weapons as well as live blades design and manufacture.

We often conduct additional training as part of intensive courses of instruction ranging from specialist CQB/CQC and close protection skills training to first responder medical training and mental toughness enhancement. We also provide introductions to our mil CQB/CQC/MSD in-house designed trade-craft training equipment usage.

Our member instructors and allied associate instructors on the training team have expertise in wide ranging and vast close combat and self-defence subject matter and our members are fortunate to be privy to such knowledge.

Being active in such wide ranging and diverse aspects of our close combat trade-craft is testament to our 94 year history in our trade-craft and shows our depth of trade-craft commitment and know how.

We have designed specialist equipment such as the TSB-45 expandable rotational baton and the green, grey and black roles knives and the dispatachet.

Our training division and our research development and design divisions are constantly working on design projects and courses of instruction to provide our rank and file with extensive knowledge and capabilities.

I don’t know of any other private global mil close combat training provider that has such full time divisions that has developed so many mil close combat and defensive tactics equipment and training and operational kit.

Currently we have multiple ongoing design and manufacture projects that include rapid restraint devices, full function mil training dummies, new bayonet course training weapons, CQC urban in-doors BHEs custom trade-craft training fit-outs and a multi-function MSD device.

We have our own close combat MSD medical division and have an updated CQB/CQC/MSD specific in-house training course ready to roll out when border restrictions are lifted.

This course will be specific to training and actions on injuries and wounds from a first responder perspective.

Our expertise and services are in demand not only down under but also globally and we regularly get visiting instructors, exponents and proponents hence the need to wait to roll out the training when border restrictions are lifted.

These visitors want to get their training from military close combat specialists with leading histories and lineages and with direct training and qualifications from leading mil close combat Master-Chief instructors.

This year’s additional specialist subject training on the annual Australasian course will be knife making and there is already high level interest and confirmed attendees for the limited positions.

From start to finish including profile cutting and heat treating and all other aspects of making a knife will be conducted as part of this related trade-craft additional subject matter training.

Our Todd Group knife making members are keen to conduct this new skills introductory training to members and new entry course goers on the annual Australasian course.

Attendees will not only get to live mil close combat and mil self-defence as civilians the military way day and night for a week long intensive and extensive course of instruction at our own training camp and the old HQ facility but will also receive additional training in our Brain to Boot mil CQC/MSD mental toughness enhancement and medical aspects of close combat combined with daily introductory training in knife making.

The training will be conducted by military qualified CQC/MSD instructors under the command of a mil CQC/MSD Master-Chief Instructor.

The course is a volunteer course and exponents that are ready and willing with their mandatory training hours up can also volunteer for testing.

Some attend wanting to train, test and prove themselves achieving rank and qualifications while others simply want to learn our mil close combat and mil self-defence tactics and skills.

These week long extensive courses also include assistant instructor and instructor training qualification courses for those that have previously passed testing phases.

We recommend anyone wanting to attend to apply/course confirm now as interest is high and even though we have a major camp facility when positions are taken course applications will be cut off.
