Procrastinators that can’t make the D

Procrastinators that can’t make the decision when it comes to stepping up fronting up and undertaking CQC training have become more common in today’s society.

Along with procrastinators there are higher numbers of individuals that aren’t prepared to accept the realities of MIL CQC training but like the thought of it.

Some end up looking for soft easy options or even make up their own fake credentials as instructors so they can start out at the top with never being trained tested and proven.

How times have changed.

In days gone by individuals would know what they wanted and what it takes to achieve combative competency and proficiency and would fully commit to being the best exponent they could possibly be.

They accepted the challenges rigours and risks of mil close quarters combat training with enthusiasm and without fear or hesitation.

They followed orders and instructions with attention to detail and commitment and did not make excuses or lay blame for their short comings and weaknesses on everything and everyone.

The weak minded today are often quick to blame the instructor.

Those that failed to achieve objectives of yesteryear were honest when they failed to achieve their objectives and would by majority come back more determined the next time and would usually achieve advancement.

Today we see so many individuals that want to train on their own terms and conditions and they are usually self-centred, weak minded types that blame everyone and everything for their lack of intestinal fortitude physicality and skills capabilities.

There are individuals that think training should be geared to their low level of commitment and physicality and the instructor should virtually bring the training to them where and when they want.

Many are paper hounds wanting soft options recognition of prior learning or looking for backdoor entry and political easy passes.

We have even had instructors requesting recognition of their phoney rank and status and that of all of their understudies.

They look for credibility by association and if they can’t find it they promote themselves and set up as training providers with no mil CQC training completion and testing qualifications.

This proves not only a lack of inner-resolve but also a lack of integrity.

Procrastinators usually apply but do not go through with course joining, however some do course join but usually when the intensity of training is ramped up in preparation for testing they disappear.

The Todd Group set and maintains the highest standards and insists on all applicants meeting stringent joining requirements and passing vetting processes.

Testing neither advantageous or disadvantages anyone and the testing regime is always hard heavy and hostile.

Those that meet the joining requirements but are not up for the challenges of training will be found out and by majority self-exclude.

Changes in societies thinking, training intensity levels , teaching and qualifying processes, skills standards and levels along with unrealistic regulations and safety standards that simply do not apply or fit with military self- defence and military unarmed combat training can only increase combative risk by not providing threat commensurate capabilities in training and substandard commitment and competency levels in under testing.

False outcomes including the feel-good factors of achieving accolades or low level training and testing advancement only satisfies those that are not up for the challenges of what CQC must be about.

Mil CQC/MSD must be hard heavy and hostile under testing and the skills must be primary proven threat neutralisation trade-craft practices to best prepare a combatant to neutralise a formidable enemy aggressor.

The types looking for recognition of prior learning or promotion without testing tell you a lot about their confidence in themselves and their lack of willingness to undertake what is required to increase their combative capabilities.

There are no easy soft ways to train test and qualify in mil CQC just like there are no such ways of stopping a formidable foe in their tracks.

Training without threat neutralisation realism and sudden aggressive shock actions on, will not make you competent confident and capable of stopping a superior goal driven violent aggressor.

Smarts need to apply when evaluating techniques capabilities and training methods when it comes to one’s personal safety and threat neutralisation capabilities.

Formidable aggressors do not play by rules and are prepared to fight to the end and you must have superior ruthless skills capabilities based on dirty tricks brigade primary practices to defeat them.

All the skills in the world are worth nothing if the holder is not mentally tough and trained and prepared to best deal with violence against all odds.

Weaknesses can be infectious and safe soft and easy training can attract numbers of similar individuals that are only fooling themselves and one and other with false confidence in far from required capabilities to take care of violent aggressors.

If they had the smarts intestinal fortitude and will to train in what is required to upskill and be the best combatant they could possibly be they would.

All too often we get individuals with supposed high level training grades including some claiming instructor status that are not even up for basic phase 1 CQC toughener and sickener training and do not volunteer for testing while others on courses with only one weeks on course training do test and some pass.

Procrastinators often apply but do not go through with course joining because of their fear of the nature of the beast exceeding their will to arm themselves with high capability threat neutralisation training.

All our recruiting and published information on course joining training and testing is factual so they know what is required on applying.

Some seem to have a fear of the unknown even though they have access to training and testing information.

If they have not made the D to course join and strive for improvement and achievement on applying after reading the joining instructions and provided information, they could well be revealing a lack of the required will and determination. If they are thinking , should I shouldn’t I will I won’t I, there is a real chance of them giving up on the idea of arming themselves with mil CQC completely or looking for soft easy training options that fit with their mental toughness and physicality capabilities.

For the committed types there is no settling for lessor than the best when it comes to their self-protection and they understand the training will be challenging and demanding to provide the level of capability required to stop formidable aggressors in their tracks.
