Long boot Unarmed Offensive Assault

Objective of mil CQC stamp kicks

Long boot or long leg as it is also known as in mil CQC unarmed offensive assault skills terminology equates to fluid action entry footwork comprising of an increased sliding boot action stride to maximise momentum and sudden aggressive shock action entry.

While the majority of close and long range unarmed offensive assault skills foot work is short boot or short leg footwork comprising of a single or multiple small to medium similar length footwork sliding ground-cover , there are specific skills that may need extended boots footwork as part of the initiation/execution ground cover to effectively make range.

Some specific CQC skills have multiple straight line or diagonal ground-cover actions for specific purposes including target alignment and increasing contact action momentum.

This extended ground cover footwork may include set up deception as well as closing on the target.

Such footwork requires the combatant to be proficient in the related contingencies if they are compromised mid stride.

The extended ground-cover long boots must be a fluid expedient action initiated off the squat crouch with synchronised respiration.

Hard cover guarding capabilities must be maintained throughout the set-up/entry actions.

Deceptive/distractive skills enhancement actions must achieve cause and effect by interfering with visual and mental focus and must achieve the required intention of increasing the chances of threat neutralisation.

Such actions have to make the enemy believe the combatant is going to take a specific action and as such will mask the intended means of engagement.

The deception or distraction could be of an escape and evasion type or fake targeting high to mask a lower quadrants deliberate action or vice versa.

When an unarmed offensive assault action comprises of more than one entry footwork movement the combatant needs to maximise a seamless fluid action skill employment with increased momentum throughout the closing and contacting with the target.

On closing on the contact zone not only the combatants contact extremity should make contact but also their body line and hard cover guard if and when possible.

Affecting not only the selected human anatomy target but also any other body part that can be contacted with not only can increase scope of impact effect and injury but can also destroy the enemy’s stability including achieving decentralisation.

Dirty tricks combined in long boot entries that create pain and injury effects can not only incapacitate the enemy but also put them down or on the back boot.

The reduction or elimination of momentum interference in long boot multiple footwork unarmed offensive assault actions is essential and can only be achieved through high intensity skills initiations/executions and high level skills competency and proficiency.

Continuous seamless fluid actions with all the major and minor components included in unison and in the correct order of execution combined with the most important initiation and execution of Brain to Boot mental toughness and confidence enhancement tactics and skills will provide the best chances of threat neutralisation.

Strategies that involve multiple movements and direction changes must he honed to ensure three quarters of maximum momentum is achieved in the contact.

The only way to achieve this is by training/practicing skills executions until they are as correct, hard and fast as you possibly can execute them with the lowest level momentum interference possible.

Training in every skill as if your life depends on you being able to execute it every time to the very best of your capabilities is the modus operandi.

Range + Tactics and Skills + Commitment = high level threat neutralisation capabily
