Rear flank threats

Always remember threat recognition and identification is essential to increase your chances of threat neutralisation.

The only time you will employee blind skills employments is when  visual assessment is not available to you.

Under such conditions your additional senses will be heightened primarily your sense of hearing and utilise your sense of touch to locate targets and set up counter actions.

Under all rear flank threats where your primary sense of vision is available, you need to utilise it in threat recognition, identification and threat neutralisation.

The employment of hard cover guarding combative sighting between or inside your hard cover guard will reduce risk during assessment and threat neutralisation employment.

If you are side on to your foe you will utilise a single arm hard cover guard and if you are employing a 180° turning manoeuvre to face  your  foe, you will utilise a full two arm hard cover guard.

Lowering your centre of gravity will increase stability and reduce target mass during any side on or rearward hundred 180° turning to front on threat neutralisation manoeuvres.

Combative respiration should be the first deliberate component to be switched on to ensure your skills are powered by controlled aggression and you maintain high levels of combative physical capabilities.

Any rear flank 180° turning manoeuvre to face your threat should include an offensive action component with the turning manoeuvre to reduce the risk of being assaulted when turning to face your foe.
