The final exported course for 2025 was a Phase 3 Specialists proponents small group course at the Todd Group Thailand training site.
All proponents on course have had to earn the right and privilege of being able to attend such courses by completing mandatory Basic and Advanced required training hours and volunteering for testing and passing both Phase 1 Basic and Phase 2 Advanced testing.
Being the only training providers of our full Todd Systems of mil elite CQC/MSD and for responsible professional trade craft training provision reasons combined with out of respect for those that have had to earn their rank and promotion, we do not make public the Phase 2 and Phase 3 restricted training packages in any way or format.
All attendees on all Phase 3 Specialist courses must be current Todd Group members and the training is off limits to anyone that is not approved.
Attendees relish the opportunity to attend such courses of instruction conducted in Thailand and at Todd Group HQ and Camp Todd.
This was a very pleasing and enjoyable course of instruction.
Such specialist courses are small group proponent numbers courses to ensure a high instructor to proponent ratio.
Thailand winter weather conditions fitted well with all training being undertaken in the outdoors.
The Todd Group Thailand training site is a stand-alone set up for purpose close combat and military self-defence training area.
The specialist proponent lads on course came from Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
This intensive week-long course of instruction included not only specialist armed and unarmed combat and military self-defence but also training in the development of tactics and skills including skills for underdogs under assault.
The defeat the bully short program was used as subject matter for the skills development lessons.
Attending specialist proponents were able to have their questions answered in regards to specialist threats and situations threat neutralisation including for a range of roles and duties.
EDP (emotionally disturbed persons) and forensic patients safe handling skills were included in the provided training.
The European military close combat and military self-defence included regular and irregular skills training in armed and unarmed elite close combat.
Such skills training began with unarmed offensive combat enemy threat neutralisation before counter engagement enemy threats neutralisation.
Non-ballistic weapons training and ballistic weapons disarming were included on course.
Attending proponents also were instructed in the most current Phase 1 Basic and Phase 2 Advanced skills.
These elite close combat courses are conducted often by regular and informal tradecraft training practices and included providing instructor delivery practices and principles.
Proponents enjoyed each other’s company in their down time outside of training.
The attending proponents having put in more than 20 years individually always enjoy the chance to catch up with training mates.
They all possessed the important good senses of humour and thrive in the mil CQC training environment and camaraderie of such training opportunities.
Before we knew it the course had come to an end and it was for me advance courses work in Thailand for 2026.
This is the 35th year of my military close combat involvement in Thailand.
