Hard Contact Inoculation Workshop for Close Combat Members and Combat Sports School Fighters – Todd Group HQ

Close proximity entrapped contact inoculation lanes set up at Todd Group HQ last night for inoculation training

Last evening was another close contact inoculation workshop delivered at Todd Group HQ.

This is the third such workshop/short course delivered this month with many more scheduled for the upcoming months as standalone training or as part of upcoming courses.

This is a variant of our mil elite close combat battle inoculation package adapted and with custom skills developed for CQC self-defence and combat sports.

The program consists of over thirty specific skillsets to enhance resistance to the effects of unarmed close quarters contact and develop tactics and skills to counter close quarters unarmed contact by means of counter engagement not just defence.

Todd Group HQ being a fully resourced specialist training facility for military CQC/MSD defensive tactics as well as having a designated in-house combat sports school enables the conducting of full musters of wide ranging training.

Having produced long lists of combat sports champions over the past 95 years as well as being the oldest private specialist training providers of our European mil elite close combat and military self-defence packages we can provide our military and civilian understudies with specialist training unique to Todd Group HQ and not available elsewhere.

In our 3-4 hour short workshops it is important that training can be conducted without interruption and with all attendees being able to undertake uninterrupted maximum training without having to wait for equipment as maximum exposure to threat effects and means of eliminating reducing contact is essential.

This facet of training along with our upcoming final CQC intake for 2022 are in high demand and we have been running at capacity with courses/training conducting and advance work for upcoming courses including recommencing our international courses circuits.

The final intake for 2022 will be conducted in August and applications are being received daily with a full muster already being achieved.

We are fortunate that we have the facilities and instructors to enable split groups courses to be conducted simultaneously or additional groups training slots to be available.

The recent contact inoculation training we conducted in Christchurch has received excellent post course reviews and endorsements.

That course included enthusiasts and instructors some with decades of experience that all were in agreement that the contact inoculation component like the Brain to Boot mental toughness are most important parts of gaining in confidence and increasing chances of overcoming the effects close contact under assault or combat sports hard contact.

Todd Group HQ being the source of the doctrine and skills developers enables our rank and file to be trained in the most current tradecraft training at the commencement of the most current tactics and skills rollout stages.

Being the only training providers of our European mil CQC/MSD in NZ and leading specialists in our field globally provides our exponents, proponents and instructors with training not available outside the Todd Group.

Our tradecraft is a living, evolving tradecraft that is required to ensure skills provision stays ahead of violent threats latest trends.

We have had a lot of our combat sports fighters over the decades train in our close combat skills sets as well as their combat sports codes including non-members combat sports fighters coming on courses for specific skills sets training.

This has been the case right back to the 1920s and our founder the late Harry Baldock, where many of his national and international wrestling champions were also training in our unarmed combat and self-defence, battle fitness, mental toughness and hard contact inoculation.

The workshop’s inoculation initially is delivered under controlled aggression and momentum levels and as training sessions continue and individual’s levels of confidence and competency increase the intensity speed/momentum and contact levels are increased.

The workshop last night included professional fighters in multiple codes, coaches and instructors that all benefited by undergoing the training.

Our numbers of serious self-defence and CQC training females has increased by considerable over recent years with the realization of major increases in urban violence and the facts of the matter that take on techniques against violent assaulters that are more physically capable not to mention being considerably bigger are far from the safest and best means of threat neutralisation.

These practical realists want and need our dirty/foul military self-defence and close quarter’s combat tactics and skills to give them the best chances of defeating formidable foes, not merely surviving violent assault.

The Todd Group developed Brain to Boot mental toughness enhancement package has commonality with our CQC/MSD hard contact inoculation package and as such the two provide seamless cohesion.

The same commonality and cohesion is achieved with Todd systems military CQC and military self-defence skills with them being all same system skillsets and with the mental toughness and hard contact inoculation being developed to maximise the likelihood of quick and safe threat neutralisation, those trained in all three important threat neutralisation components increase their winning chances.

It is very important that auxiliary tactics and skills have cohesive commonality with physical threat neutralisation capabilities to maximise threat neutralisation effect and employment safety.

The hard contact inoculation through careful controlled releases of the violence virus threat and commensurate in training provision of the violent threat neutralisation vaccine enables exponents to increase confidence and capability at their individual levels.

It is important that training pairs are matched as equally as possible and the doses of threat and threat neutralisation are controlled.

The combat sports fighters already well versed in their own preferred techniques and accustomed to contact, take on board the mental toughness and inoculation skills with ease and rapidly can turn up the intensity momentum/speed of threat execution and threat inoculation/threat neutralisation.

Some fighters on recent workshops released they did not understand the differences between mil elite battle inoculation and means of threat neutralisation compared to means and methods used in combat sports.

As part of the introduction and background behind the training package development they learned that mil elite actions on is all about kill or die and the means are over kill and primarily by armed methods.

Neutralising even formidable highly trained enemy combatants by armed means is very different to taking them on by unarmed means.

The overview included escaping grabs, holds, clinches and ground fighting with a primary weapon, back up weapon or a dagger is as guaranteed as stopping an unarmed enemy in their tracks gets.

The requirements to win in combat sports against top opponents or defeat violent assaulters under urban violence requires very different skills when unarmed and the specific skills must be empowered by mental toughness/intestinal fortitude and inoculation against effects of hard contact by tactics and skills that minimise effects of hard contact and maximise combat or counter actions threat neutralisation.

Defending against violent assaulters is tactically flawed and all counter actions must be of a combat offensive action first or counter engagement threat neutralisation combined mindset and skillset to give the best combative/fighting chances of victory over defeat, is what workshops attendees are told.

Another workshop down and back to scheduled training the upcoming HQ intake, week long intensive course at Camp Todd followed by the CPP close personal protection specialist dual country course and the exported all ranks including new entry exponents courses in our international hub country of Thailand.
