Todd Group HQ intake inductions are conducted to provide Dunedin/Otago residents with the opportunity to apply for scheduled session’s weekly evening training.

Applicants must meet the Todd Group responsible citizens course/training joining conditions.

Applications are received online for processing and it is important that applicants read the application/declaration and questionnaire carefully and fill it out correctly and honestly.

Applicants that meet the course/training joining requirements will be advised by email of the intake induction date and time.

The intake induction consists of evaluating the new entry applicants pre-joining capabilities and level of confidence.

The applicant’s ability to retain the provided training and utilise it to achieve the objectives is included in the intake induction.

The final skills related aspect of the induction is scenario based where individually each applicant will be faced with threat scenarios they have been provided training in the neutralisation of and their ability to draw on the provided skills will be observed.

There is also a video presentation and brief on the history of the Todd Group.

Training joining instructions and information as well as responsibilities is outlined and there is a question-and-answer component.

Accepted applicants training commencement involves the development of skills competency and confidence as well as the enhancement of military CQC/MSD mental toughness by means of our Brain to Boot mil self-defence and close combat tactics and skills.

Exponents are introduced to a range of offensive and counteroffensive skills that enable individual exponent skills selections that fit with the individual’s physical and mental make. Skills options from anti-encounter through to combat and counter threat neutralisation skills are provided.

Primary, secondary, emergency and alternative threat neutralisation capabilities to fit with laws of self-defence requirements and commensurate force levels threat neutralisation are instructed in a range of threat neutralisation categories.

Increased skills initiation and execution speed will come with increased confidence, competency and proficiency.
